35th International Volksmarch Stuttgart 2010

The Stuttgart German-American Wandering Club 1972 invites you to their 35th International Volksmarch in Stuttgart!

This is a public non-competitive walk for anyone - you will receive credit for the International IVV award.

Dates and times:

Saturday, 31 July 2010 - start times 0800 - 1400 hours, finish 1800 hours.

Sunday, 01 August 2010 - start times 0630 - 1300 hours, finish 1700 hours.

Location:

The start and finish is located at the Turnhalle des TSV Heumaden, Kemnater Strasse 50, 70619 Stuttgart-Heumaden.

By public transportation - from the Stuttgart Main Station, take Stadtbahn U7 to Bockelstrasse (footpath to the start/finish is marked).

Trails:

7, 12 and 22 km trails are offered (pictures of the trail can be seen on this page). It is up to each walker individually which trail he/she is capable of doing. Start/finish times are listed above. In order to receive your IVV credit, the walk should be done by the stated finish time. The trails are marked with colored tape and directional signs.

Food and beverages:

At the start/finish, there will be a small German-American fest. Food and beverages will be offered at reasonable prices. Snacks and medical assistance are provided on the trails.

International IVV Award:

The event will be held in accordance with the guidelines of the German and International Federations of Popular Sports (DVV and IVV). Walkers may receive credit stamps for their IVV record books. Start cards are available at € 1.50 (€ 2.50 including medal). The price of the start card includes third party liability and accident insurance on the trails. Preregistration:

No preregistration is necessary. For better planning, however, preregistration is recommended for groups.
